AstraLex Shaders — Configuration
Configuration and Performance
AstraLex is highly demanding but offers several profiles to balance quality and performance. These are accessed via Options > Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options.
Performance Profiles
- Low: Disables shadows and volumetric lighting; suitable for integrated graphics.
- Medium: Enables basic shadows and water reflections.
- High: Enables volumetric lighting, bloom, and high-quality shadows.
- Ultra/Extreme: Enables all cinematic effects, high-resolution reflections, and maximum shadow distance.
Performance Tips
- Render Quality: Keep at 1x. Increasing this significantly impacts FPS.
- Shadow Quality: 1x is recommended for most users.
- Fast Render: Should generally be turned OFF as it can cause flickering or broken effects in AstraLex.
