Sword UI Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I enable the shorter weapon models?
The shorter sword and axe textures are active by default once you apply the resource pack in your texture pack settings. If weapons still appear full-length, make sure the Sword UI pack is positioned above any conflicting packs in your resource pack list.
Will this pack work with my current texture pack?
Sword UI is built on Faithful textures, so it works best as your primary pack. If you want to layer it with another pack, place Sword UI lower in your resource pack list so its UI elements take priority.
Do I need OptiFine to use this pack?
OptiFine is optional but recommended for the smoothest rendering, especially if you're running classic PvP setups. The pack functions without it, though you may notice minor visual differences.
Why is my hotbar still cluttered after installing the pack?
Make sure you've fully reloaded your resource packs by pressing F3+T (or going to Options > Resource Packs and confirming the pack is selected). If items still look default, check that no other packs are overriding the hotbar textures.
Can I customize which UI elements get cleaned up?
The pack comes as a complete set, but you can manually edit the resource pack files to toggle specific elements like the status bar or hotbar if you're comfortable with file editing.
Does this pack change how armor looks on my character?
Yes—the pack includes modified 32x armor textures based on Faithful style that appear cleaner and more refined. These changes affect how armor displays both in your inventory and when worn.
Will this pack affect my FPS or cause lag?
No, resource packs don't impact performance negatively. If anything, the minimalist design may help by reducing visual complexity, especially when paired with OptiFine.
Are golden apples, arrows, and other items restyled too?
Yes, the pack includes custom textures for golden apples, arrows, wool blocks, beds, chests, and other common PvP items to maintain a consistent minimalist look.
Can I use this pack on a multiplayer server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side only, so you can use Sword UI on any server without affecting other players or violating server rules.
What should I do if the inventory menu still looks cluttered?
The pack cleans up inventory backgrounds and menus by default, but if clutter remains, verify the pack is loaded and try refreshing your resource packs. Some mods or conflicting packs may override these changes.
