Diamond Drill

IndustrialCraft 2 Classic (IC2C) adds the Mining Drill, but also adds the Diamond Drill. The Diamond Drill, an advanced version of the Mining Drill, also a Tier 1 tool that runs off EU (Energy Units), is crafted from a Mining Drill and 3 Diamonds. The Diamond Drill, like all Electric Tools, does not break.

The Diamond Drill isn't much different from the Mining Drill; apart from the fact that it is faster. It can still charge in a Batbox, and any equipped charging utilities will power it, but runs much faster and has a lower energy use per operation. It can also be used in the Miner to mine.

The Diamond Drill can also be Enchanted to increase its speed, among other things; check out the Enchantment Info page for more information.

The Diamond Drill also has a new "Dirt Mode", which digs up soil slower; this is very useful for precise ground digging. It can be activated using the Mode Switch Key, and draws no extra energy then its base usage per operation.
