Starfish have been added in Alpha 2.6.0 and come in all the Minecraft colours. Starfish only generate in their natural generation colours which are: White, Orange, Magenta, Light Blue, Pink, Lime, Blue and Red by default.

Attributes

You're able to rotate a Starfish by right-clicking it.

You can also give a Starfish a different colour by right-clicking it with a Dye and make the starfish emit light by right-clicking it with Glowstone Dust. (Lightlevel 8)

When you break a Starfish they will lose the property to emit light, but will keep the colour.

Placement

Out of the water Starfish can only be placed on the floor. However, in water a Starfish can be placed on all sides of a Block.

Generation

Starfish will generate in the following Vanilla Biomes: beach, lukewarm ocean, warm ocean and their corresponding deep variants with an increased frequency to generate on Coral Blocks in coral reefs.

Configuration

You can choose to disable Starfish, set their natural generation colours and tweak generation frequencies and biomes.
