How to Land Headshots on Zombies with a Bow
Aiming for Precision
The Zombies Update Model introduces a headshot mechanic that rewards accurate bow shots. To land a headshot, you need to aim at the zombie's head rather than its body. This requires practice and positioning.
Technique and Positioning
Stand at a distance where you have a clear line of sight to the zombie's head. Strafe side-to-side to avoid the zombie's grab attack while maintaining your aim. Draw your bow fully before releasing—partial draws are less likely to register as headshots. Aim slightly above where the zombie's eyes appear on its model.
Headshots deal significantly more damage than body shots, making them essential for taking down zombies efficiently. The zombie's enhanced model makes the head a distinct target, so use the visual design to your advantage.
Practice Tips
Start by practicing on stationary zombies or in controlled environments. As you improve, attempt headshots while the zombie is moving or attacking. Combining headshots with evasion of the grab attack will make you a formidable opponent against these reanimated threats.
