Enable Custom Zombie Textures in Your World
Prerequisites
Before custom zombie skins appear, you need to ensure the resource pack is loaded and compatible mods are installed. This pack requires either Entity Texture Features, Entity Model Features, or OptiFine to function—without one of these, zombies will render as vanilla.
Installation Steps
1. Load the resource pack in your world settings. Open your world, go to Resource Packs, and move this pack from Available to Active.
2. Verify mod compatibility. Check that you have Entity Texture Features, Entity Model Features, or OptiFine installed in your mods folder. The pack will not display custom textures without at least one of these.
3. Restart your world after adding the pack and mods. Changes take effect when you rejoin.
4. Encounter undead mobs at night or in dark areas. Regular zombies, husks, and drowned should now display menacing, virus-infected appearances instead of vanilla skins.
Troubleshooting
If zombies still look vanilla, check that your mod loader (Forge/Fabric) matches the pack's requirements, and confirm the resource pack is ranked above conflicting packs in your active list.
