WU Shuangcb’s Zombie Skin Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need OptiFine or can I use Entity Texture Features instead?
You can use either OptiFine or Entity Texture Features (with Entity Model Features) to run this pack—both are supported. Choose whichever mod loader you prefer; the zombie skins will work with either option.
Why aren't the zombie textures showing up in my world?
Make sure the resource pack is loaded above any conflicting packs in your resource pack menu, and verify that you have either OptiFine or Entity Texture Features installed and enabled. Without one of these mods, vanilla zombies won't display the custom skins.
Does this pack work with zombie variants from other mods?
Yes, it includes textures for zombie variants from CrimsonSteve's More Mobs and Mutant More, including mutant husks and mutant frozen zombies. Check the mod's documentation to see which specific mod-added variants are supported.
Can I use this pack with other zombie texture packs at the same time?
You can load multiple resource packs together, but place this pack higher in your resource pack list than others to ensure its textures take priority and display correctly.
Are the custom zombie sounds included in the pack or do I need to download them separately?
The custom audio files are included in the resource pack itself—no separate download needed. The pack contains hundreds of audio cues that will play automatically when you encounter infected zombies.
Will this pack affect performance or cause lag?
Resource packs have minimal performance impact, but using advanced texture features with OptiFine or Entity Texture Features may use slightly more resources than vanilla. If you experience lag, try disabling custom model features in your mod settings.
Do husks and drowned get the same scary treatment as regular zombies?
Yes, the pack includes unique menacing designs for husks, drowned, and regular zombies, so all three mob types will have frightening virus-infected appearances.
Can I see different zombie skins in different biomes?
The pack provides variant zombie designs optimized for different environments—desert husks look different from forest zombies, and drowned have their own underwater aesthetic. Biome-specific variants display automatically as you explore.
What do I do if the pack conflicts with my current texture pack?
Reorder your resource packs in the resource pack menu so this zombie pack loads after (below) your main texture pack, or unload conflicting packs entirely. You can also check if there's a compatibility version of this pack designed for popular texture packs.
Does this pack change anything besides zombie appearance and sounds?
No, this is purely a visual and audio resource pack—it doesn't alter zombie behavior, health, damage, or any gameplay mechanics. It only reskins existing undead mobs and adds custom sound effects.
