Do I need any other mods for this resource pack to work?
Yes, you must install Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) for the custom saddle models and textures to display. Without these mods, you'll see only vanilla equipment on your animals.
Why don't my saddles look different after installing the pack?
Make sure you've installed both EMF and ETF mods alongside the resource pack, and that the pack is enabled and ranked above other resource packs in your settings. If you're still seeing vanilla saddles, try reloading your world or restarting your game.
Which animals get custom saddles in this pack?
Horses, skeleton horses, zombie horses, donkeys, mules, pigs, camels, striders, and llamas all receive custom saddle and equipment designs. Each animal type has unique gear suited to its role.
What's the difference between how donkeys and camels are outfitted?
Donkeys and mules get sturdy saddlebags, a small book, and a travel canteen for practical journeys. Camels receive more elaborate gear including decorative double sleeping bags, saddle blankets, gourds, and glowing lanterns in red, yellow, or pink.
Do the travel bags actually store items like vanilla chests?
The travel bags are visual reskins of mounted storage chests—they function identically to vanilla chest storage on donkeys, mules, and llamas, but look like realistic exploration packs instead.
Can I customize which animals wear which gear?
This is a resource pack, so it applies the same designs to all animals of each type in your world. You cannot selectively customize individual animals, but you can use different resource packs or modify the pack files yourself if you have texturing knowledge.
Will this pack work with other saddle or horse mods?
Compatibility depends on whether other mods also use EMF and ETF. If another mod changes saddle models through the same system, there may be conflicts; test in your world to see which pack takes priority.
Do the camel lanterns actually glow or emit light?
The lanterns are visual decorations on the camel model and do not emit light blocks. They glow visually as part of the texture, but won't light up your surroundings like a light source.
What happens to my saddle item in my inventory?
The standalone saddle item texture is refreshed to match the new custom design, so it looks consistent with the saddles you see on your animals.
Does this pack affect llama decorations or just the gear?
The pack provides llamas with two appearance options: simple leather packs for utility, or detailed trader decorations for aesthetic variety. Both replace the vanilla llama carpet appearance.
