Enable Voxray Shaders and Configure Basic Settings
Install Iris and Load the Shader Pack
Voxray Shaders requires the Iris mod to function. Once Iris is installed alongside your Minecraft instance, launch the game and open the Shader Options screen (usually accessible from Video Settings). Locate and select Voxray Shaders from the available shader packs list.
Adjust Render Quality
After loading, you'll see shader-specific options. The mod's raymarching and raytracing features are computationally intensive, so adjust the voxel resolution and shadow quality sliders based on your hardware. Lower settings reduce GPU load but may soften shadow detail. Higher settings increase visual fidelity but demand more VRAM and processing power.
Start with medium settings and test performance in different environments—open sky, dense forests, and underground caves stress the shader differently. You can toggle volumetric lighting effects on or off depending on your preference and frame rate targets.
Save and Test
Apply your settings and load a world. The voxelized lighting should activate immediately, transforming how shadows and light rays behave across your terrain and structures.
