Navigate the Nether Using Biome Coloring
Reading Biome Colors on Your Map
Voxel Map displays different biomes in distinct colors, making it easy to identify terrain types at a glance. In the Nether, this coloring system remains clear and readable, showing you exactly where different biome regions begin and end.
Each Nether biome—Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Basalt Deltas, and others—displays in its own color. Learn these colors so you can quickly navigate to specific biomes without getting lost in the red landscape.
Planning Nether Routes
Open your full world map before entering the Nether to plan your route. Identify which biomes contain the resources or structures you need. Set waypoints at key Nether locations like your portal entry point, fortress locations, or bastion remnants.
Use the biome coloring to avoid dangerous areas if you're unprepared. For example, if you're looking for specific blocks or mobs, the color-coded map shows you exactly which biome to explore.
The minimap updates as you travel through the Nether, so you can always see your current biome and nearby terrain. This prevents disorientation in the Nether's confusing landscape.
