Restore Abandoned Cities If You Change Your Mind

Disable the Data Pack

If you decide you want Abandoned Cities back in your world, removing the data pack is straightforward.

Steps to Revert

1. Open your world folder — navigate to datapacks inside your world directory

2. Locate the data pack folder — find the Vanished Hollow Structures folder

3. Delete or move it — remove it from the datapacks folder entirely

4. Reload your world — restart the game or use /reload command

Important Notes

• Already-generated chunks won't change — terrain you've already explored will remain the same
• New chunks will include Abandoned Cities — only newly generated terrain will have structures restored
• Backup your world first — if you're unsure, save a copy before making changes

If you want Abandoned Cities in previously explored areas, you'll need to delete those chunks using a world editor or travel to completely unexplored territory. The data pack can be re-enabled anytime by placing it back in your datapacks folder.
