Build in Deep Dark Biomes Without Structure Interference
Claim Space for Your Own Builds
With Abandoned Cities removed, Deep Dark biomes become blank canvases for your creations. This guide helps you safely build in these dangerous biomes.
Preparation
1. Gather protection supplies — bring blocks, torches, and healing items (the Deep Dark still contains Wardens)
2. Locate a Deep Dark biome — explore downward or use a seed finder to pinpoint one
3. Mark your territory — place torches or build a perimeter to claim your building space
Building Strategy
- Avoid sculk blocks — they still trigger Warden spawning if you disturb them
- Build on solid ground — use stone, deepslate, or other non-sculk blocks as your foundation
- Light your area carefully — use torches away from sculk to prevent activation
- Create a safe zone — build walls or barriers to separate your build from dangerous sculk regions
Since Abandoned Cities no longer generate, you won't encounter their pre-built structures or loot. You'll have complete freedom to design the space as you wish, though Wardens and sculk sensors remain a threat.
