Optimize Star Shaders for Better Performance
Check Performance Impact
True Stars Shaders is designed to be lightweight, but performance varies by hardware. Monitor your frame rate using F3 debug screen while viewing the night sky. If you notice significant frame drops, shader optimization is needed.
Reduce Visual Quality Settings
Access shader options and look for quality presets or detail levels. Lowering the star count or reducing shadow quality can improve performance without completely disabling the shader. Some versions offer "lite" modes that maintain the colored star effect while using fewer calculations.
Disable Unnecessary Features
If the mod includes additional sky effects beyond stars (such as enhanced clouds or atmospheric effects), these can often be toggled independently. Disabling non-essential features may provide the performance boost you need.
Test Different Times of Day
Star rendering only occurs at night, so daytime performance should remain unaffected. If performance is still poor during night scenes, consider using a simpler shader or adjusting your render distance to compensate.
