How to Stay Warm in Cold Biomes
Wear Wool Armor
Cold drains your temperature. The direct counter is wool clothing: Wool Hood, Wool Parka, Wool Pants, and Wool Boots. Craft and equip all four pieces before heading into snow, high mountains, or cold nights. Each piece adds insulation, and wearing the full set gives the strongest buffer against dropping temperature.
Watch the Temperature Gauge
Place a Temperature Gauge to read your current temperature at a glance. When the gauge trends cold, add wool layers or move toward a heat source. If you are already shivering, retreat to a warmer area and let the gauge recover before pushing on.
Heat Sources and the Thermoregulator
Standing near fire, lava, or torches raises your temperature. The Thermoregulator block helps regulate temperature in a base, so build one where you spend time and keep it running. In the field, carry Wool gear and rotate into warm pockets rather than sprinting through long cold stretches.
Field Routine
1. Craft Wool Hood, Wool Parka, Wool Pants, and Wool Boots.
2. Equip all four before entering a cold biome.
3. Place a Temperature Gauge at camp to monitor changes.
4. Build a Thermoregulator in your base to stabilize temperature indoors.
If the gauge still falls, break line of sight with wind and get near fire or lava until it climbs.
