How to Purify Water with the Water Purifier

Building and Using the Water Purifier

Place a Water Purifier block. Put Dirty Water Bottle into it and let it process; the output is Purified Water Bottle. The purifier also handles the canteen line: Dirty Water Canteen tiers convert into their Purified Water Canteen counterparts. That means Copper Dirty Water Canteen becomes Copper Purified Water Canteen, Iron Dirty Water Canteen becomes Iron Purified Water Canteen, and the same holds for Gold, Diamond, Netherite, and Leather.

What to Feed It

Only dirty water items are valid input. Do not put a clean Water Canteen or Purified Water Bottle in — those are already safe. Fill your dirty containers at any water source first, then batch them through the purifier.

Practical Loop

1. Fill canteens and bottles at a water source to get the Dirty variants.

2. Return to your Water Purifier and process them into Purified Water Bottle and Purified Water Canteen tiers.

3. Drink from the purified forms to restore thirst safely.

Keep a stack of Dirty Water Bottle on hand so the purifier never idles. If you travel far from base, carry a Water Purifier with you or rely on a filled Purified Water Canteen until you can process more.
