How to Build and Use the Water Purifier

What the Water Purifier Does

The Water Purifier is the block that turns unsafe water into drinkable water. It processes Dirty Water items into Purified Water items. Feed it a Dirty Water Bottle to get a Purified Water Bottle. Feed it a Dirty Water Canteen of any tier to get the matching Purified Water Canteen: Leather, Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, or Netherite.

Running the Purifier

Craft and place the Water Purifier, then open it. Insert the dirty container you want cleaned. The purifier runs its water_purifying process and outputs the purified version of the same container. Because the tier is preserved, a Gold Dirty Water Canteen comes out as a Gold Purified Water Canteen, not a lower-tier one.

Keep a stock of Dirty Water Canteens filled at water sources so the purifier always has input. Purify in batches before long trips rather than one canteen at a time. Pair the purifier with a Rain Collector to keep a steady supply of water on hand, then purify it and load your canteens. Drink only from Purified Water Canteens or Purified Water Bottles to avoid the effects of dirty water.
