Building and Using the Water Purifier

What the Water Purifier Does

The Water Purifier is a block that converts dirty or raw water into purified water. It is the core of safe hydration. Feed it a filled Water Canteen and it outputs the matching Purified Water Canteen — Copper in, Copper Purified Water Canteen out. It also produces Purified Water Bottle from a water source input.

Setting Up the Purifier

Place the Water Purifier block, then supply it with filled canteens or water bottles. The purification step uses the toughasnails:water_purifying recipe type, so any canteen tier you have crafted can be run through it: Leather, Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, or Netherite. Keep a stack of Empty canteens nearby so you can refill and re-purify in a loop.

Pairing with a Rain Collector

A Rain Collector gathers water over time, giving you a renewable source to fill canteens without hunting for a lake. Place the Rain Collector, let it fill, then draw water and run it through the Water Purifier. This combo keeps a steady supply of Purified Water Canteens for long trips. Note that the Netherite Dirty Water Canteen must still be purified before drinking.
