Totem of Null Plugin FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I get the totem in the first place?
Use the command /givet 1 in chat to receive a Totem of Null. You must have the appropriate permission level on your server to use this command.
Can I tag a player who isn't online yet?
Yes, you can tag any player by name using /ttag even if they're offline. The tag will remain on the totem and activate when that player joins and the totem breaks.
What happens if I drop the totem or put it in my inventory?
The totem only activates when it breaks while you're holding it in your main hand. If you drop it or move it to your inventory, tagged players won't be sent to the void until you pick it back up and take fatal damage again.
Can I tag myself on the totem?
Yes, you can tag yourself using /ttag with your own name. This means you'll also be sent to the void when the totem pops, so be careful if you're using it as a trap.
How do I remove a tag if I made a mistake?
Use /tuntag followed by the player's name to remove their tag from the totem you're holding. You can remove tags before or after the totem activates.
Do duplicated totems work the same way?
No, duped totems do not function and will not send tagged players to the void. Only totems obtained through the /givet command will work properly.
Can I tag multiple players on one totem?
Yes, you can tag as many players as you want onto a single totem using /ttag multiple times. All tagged players will be sent to the void when that totem breaks.
Does the totem work in creative mode or with invulnerability?
The totem requires you to take fatal damage to activate, so it won't pop in creative mode or when you have invulnerability effects active. You must be in survival mode and vulnerable to trigger it.
What if a tagged player has a totem of undying?
The Totem of Null sends players directly into the void, which bypasses normal death mechanics. A totem of undying will not save them from being sent to the void.
Can I use this in multiplayer servers or only single player?
This mod is designed for multiplayer servers and works best in that environment. Single player worlds can use it, but the main purpose is pranking or defending against other players on a server.
