Tinkers' Construct Modifier List: What Each Modifier Does and How to Get It

Modifiers attach to a tool at the Tool Station or Tool Forge and change how the tool behaves. Each modifier occupies one or more modifier slots on the tool.

Common Modifiers

• Reinforced: reduces the chance the tool takes damage. Stacks across multiple applications.
• Haste: increases mining speed.
• Luck: improves drops from blocks and mobs.
• Sharpness: increases attack damage.
• Knockback: pushes mobs further on hit.
• Fiery: sets targets on fire.
• Diamond: increases mining level and durability.
• Emerald: increases durability.
• Netherite: increases mining level and durability.
• Silky: makes blocks drop themselves instead of their normal drops.
• Fortune: increases block drop amounts.
• Mending: repairs the tool using experience.
• Overslime: adds extra durability that regenerates.

Applying Them

Place the tool in the Tool Station, then place the modifier item in the modifier slot. The station only accepts modifiers the tool has room for. Modifiers that stack can be applied repeatedly until slots run out.

Slot Limits

Every tool has a fixed number of modifier slots. Adding a modifier uses one or more slots. Once slots are full, no further modifiers can be applied until one is removed.
