Smelting and Casting with the Smeltery

Feed the Smeltery

Ores, ingots, and blocks melt into molten metal inside the Smeltery. Molten metal then pours into Casting Tables and Casting Basins. The Casting Table handles small parts using tconstruct:casting_table (72 recipes); the Casting Basin handles blocks and large parts using tconstruct:casting_basin (70 recipes). A Casting Tank stores and moves the molten metal between stations.

Cast Parts and Blocks

Place a cast in the Casting Table, pour metal, and pull out the finished part. For blocks, pour into the Casting Basin to produce Block of Cobalt, Block of Manyullyn, Block of Hepatizon, Block of Rose Gold, Block of Pig Iron, Block of Slimesteel, Block of Soulsteel, Block of Knightslime, Block of Cinderslime, Block of Amethyst Bronze, or Block of Steel. Ingots and nuggets (Amethyst Bronze Ingot, Cinderslime Ingot, Amethyst Bronze Nugget, Cinderslime Nugget) come from table casting.

Composite and Material Casting

tconstruct:table_casting_composite and tconstruct:basin_casting_composite combine multiple materials in one cast. tconstruct:table_casting_material and tconstruct:basin_casting_material pour a single material. tconstruct:material_fluid (15 recipes) defines which fluids count as which material. Use these when a part needs a specific metal rather than a generic pour.
