Casting Metal Tools and Parts with the Casting Table and Basin
Set Up Casting Stations
Place a Casting Table for small parts and a Casting Basin for blocks and large components. You also need a Cast Chest nearby to store your Blank Sand Cast, Blank Red Sand Cast, and Blank Gold Cast stock, plus the finished part casts like Adze Head Gold Cast, Boot Plating Sand Cast, or Bow Grip Red Sand Cast.
Use tconstruct:casting_table recipes to pour molten metal into a part cast and produce a finished part. Use tconstruct:casting_basin recipes to pour metal into a basin for blocks such as Block of Cobalt, Block of Manyullyn, Block of Steel, Block of Rose Gold, Block of Pig Iron, Block of Hepatizon, Block of Knightmetal, Block of Slimesteel, Block of Soulsteel, Block of Amethyst Bronze, Block of Cinderslime, Block of Knightslime, and Block of Queen's Slime.
Composite and Material Casting
Some recipes are tconstruct:table_casting_material, tconstruct:table_casting_composite, tconstruct:basin_casting_material, or tconstruct:basin_casting_composite. Composite casting means the cast already contains one material and you pour a second material over it to finish the part. Material casting pours directly into a cast made of a specific material.
There is also tconstruct:table_tool_casting and tconstruct:retextured_casting_basin for special cases. If a recipe will not start, check that the correct cast is in the table or basin and that the molten metal type matches the recipe. Nuggets like Amethyst Bronze Nugget come from smaller pours; ingots like Amethyst Bronze Ingot come from standard table casts.
