Building Armor with Platings and Casts

Armor Parts

Armor uses plating parts rather than tool heads. The three plating types are Boot Plating, Chest Plating, and the matching leg and helmet equivalents built the same way. Each has a Gold Cast, Sand Cast, and Red Sand Cast variant: Boot Plating Gold Cast, Boot Plating Sand Cast, Boot Plating Red Sand Cast, Chest Plating Gold Cast, Chest Plating Sand Cast, and Chest Plating Red Sand Cast. Build them at the Part Builder or cast them at a Casting Table.

Assemble the Armor

Once you have the plating parts, combine them using the tconstruct:tool_building recipe type at the Tinker Station, the same station used for tools. Armor assembled this way can be repaired and modified like any other Tinkers' Construct tool. The material of each plating determines the armor's stats, so cast from Cobalt, Manyullyn, Hepatizon, Rose Gold, Pig Iron, Slimesteel, Soulsteel, Knightslime, Cinderslime, Amethyst Bronze, or Steel depending on what you want.

Modifiers and Transform

Armor accepts modifiers through the tconstruct:modifier recipe type. The tconstruct:tipped_tool_transform recipe lets a tipped tool change form. Use the Cast Chest to store casts and the Casting Tank to hold molten metal while you work through a full armor set.
