Timber Replant Plugin FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

Do I need an axe to chop trees with this mod?
By default, yes—you need to hold an axe to trigger tree felling. However, your server admin can disable the Tool Requirements setting in the config to allow any tool or even bare hands to work.
Why isn't my tree falling when I break the bottom log?
Check that Tree Felling is enabled in your config and that you're hitting a fully grown tree (saplings won't trigger it). If the tree is very large, it may exceed your server's Detection Limits setting—ask your admin to raise the size cap if needed.
Can I turn off auto-planting but keep instant tree chopping?
Yes. Set Replanting to false in the config while keeping Tree Felling enabled. Saplings will drop as items on the ground instead of planting automatically.
Does my tool still lose durability when I fell a whole tree?
Yes, your tool takes damage for every block broken in the tree, so you pay the normal durability cost as if you'd chopped it manually.
Will Fortune enchantment give me more wood or sticks?
Fortune works with tree felling and increases your drop chances for sticks, apples, and other wood-related items just like normal mining would.
What happens if dirt is placed over the sapling spot before it plants?
The sapling will drop as an item on the ground instead of planting in the soil. Pick it up and plant it manually, or clear the blocked spot so the next tree can plant normally.
Do leaves break automatically when the tree falls?
That depends on your server's Leaf Processing setting. Your admin can configure whether leaves decay naturally or break instantly with the logs.
Does this mod work with cherry and mangrove trees?
Yes, the plugin supports all normal wood types including Oak, Birch, Cherry, and Mangrove, and plants the correct sapling type for each.
Can I use Unbreaking with tree felling?
Yes, Unbreaking enchantment works normally with tree felling and reduces tool durability loss just as it would for regular mining.
Why are saplings not planting even though replanting is on?
Check that the dirt block below the tree isn't obstructed or has been replaced with another block. If the spot is clear and replanting is enabled, wait a moment—there may be a slight delay before the sapling appears.
