Troubleshoot Missing or Wrong Messages

Why You're Not Seeing the Joke

Common Issues and Fixes

Issue: Vanilla warning appears instead of the joke

• The resource pack isn't active or loaded correctly.
• Check Resource Packs menu and move it to the active list.
• Restart your world after activating.

Issue: No message appears at all when trying to sleep

• No hostile mobs are nearby. The message only triggers when threats are present.
• Spawn or find mobs closer to your bed location.
• Try in a darker area where mobs naturally spawn.

Issue: Pack shows as outdated

• This is normal and doesn't prevent it from working.
• The pack functions on current versions despite version mismatch warnings.
• Ignore the warning and use it normally.

Testing Your Setup

1. Place a bed in a dark area at night.

2.

3. Right-click the bed.

4. Observe what message displays.

If the joke appears, everything is working. If not, revisit the Resource Packs menu and ensure the pack is in the active column. Restart the game if changes don't take effect immediately.
