How to Use the Drying Rack

Craft and Place

Craft a Drying Rack from Canopy Planks, Acacia Planks, Birch Planks, or Bamboo. Place it on a wall or fence. The Drying Rack has slots for items that need to dry.

What to Dry

Place Beef Jerky ingredients, such as raw meat, on the Drying Rack. The rack uses the twilightforest:drying recipe type. Drying takes time and does not require fuel. Check the rack periodically and remove the finished Beef Jerky. You can also dry other items that have drying recipes, such as certain foods and materials.

Automate and Store

Place multiple Drying Racks in a row for bulk processing. Use Canopy Chests nearby to store raw inputs and finished outputs. Drying Racks work in any dimension, so you can set them up in the Twilight Forest or in the Overworld. Combine drying with smoking and campfire cooking for a full food-processing area. Use a Brazier or Candelabra for light so hostile mobs do not interrupt your work.
