Troubleshoot Blurry or Ghosting Effects
Identify the Problem
Ghosthing appears as trailing or smearing behind moving objects or your camera. Blurriness feels like a soft-focus effect on edges. Determine which issue you're experiencing by moving your camera and observing block edges.
Reduce Temporal Accumulation
TAA works by blending multiple frames together. If ghosting is severe, lower the temporal accumulation or history length setting in the shader options. This makes the shader rely less on previous frames.
Check Motion Rejection Settings
Motion rejection helps prevent ghosting by detecting camera movement. If it's too aggressive, edges may appear softer. If too weak, ghosting worsens. Adjust this slider gradually and test in-game.
Verify Your Frame Rate
TAA performs best at consistent, high frame rates. If your FPS fluctuates, temporal effects become more noticeable. Ensure your render distance and other graphics settings aren't bottlenecking performance.
Reset to Defaults
If problems persist, reset TAA69 to default settings and reconfigure from there. This eliminates conflicting adjustments.
