Adjust Particle Density to Match Your Computer's Performance
Open the Settings Menu
Press Esc to pause the game, then navigate to Options > Mod Settings > Sylvan Drift. You'll see a dedicated configuration screen for all particle adjustments.
Choose Your Performance Preset
The mod includes three built-in presets designed for different setups:
- Low-End: Reduces particle count and spawn frequency. Use this if you experience frame drops in forests or jungles.
- Standard: Balanced particle density for typical gameplay. Recommended for most players.
- Shader-Optimized: Enhances particle effects while maintaining compatibility with shader packs.
Select the preset that matches your hardware, or manually adjust the Particle Density slider for finer control.
Fine-Tune Additional Settings
Beyond density, you can modify:
- Particle Size: Make leaves and pollen larger or smaller on screen
- Wind Speed: Control how quickly particles drift horizontally
- Wind Direction: Change the direction wind pushes particles
Apply your changes and return to the world. Particles will update immediately. Test your settings in different biomes—dense jungles and mangrove swamps are good benchmarks for performance impact.
