Enhance Water Reflections and Clarity

Open Water Reflection Settings

Access the shader configuration panel from your Video Settings menu. Navigate to the water or reflection section of the shader options.

Customize Reflection Behavior

Look for water-specific adjustments:

• Reflection Quality: Higher settings render more detailed reflections of the sky, nearby blocks, and terrain. Lower settings reduce reflection detail but improve performance.
• Water Clarity: Adjust transparency to control how far you can see into water. Clearer water reveals underwater details; more opaque water creates a more realistic, murky appearance depending on biome.
• Reflection Intensity: Strengthens or weakens how much the environment reflects on the water surface.

Test in Different Environments

Visit various water bodies—oceans, rivers, lakes—to see how reflections change. Reflections will be most noticeable during daytime and near bright light sources. Adjust settings until the water feels balanced between visual appeal and performance. Consider your hardware capabilities when increasing reflection quality.
