Sylbobek’s Pack Shaders FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I turn on the shader pack after installing it?
Open Options > Video Settings > Shaders, then locate Sylbobek's Pack in the shader list and select it. The shaders will activate immediately, though you may need to restart your world to see all effects fully applied.
Why do my shadows look too harsh or too soft?
Open the shader options menu (usually by pressing a key while in-game or through Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options) and adjust the shadow softness slider to find your preferred balance between detail and smoothness.
Can I use this with other mods like Optifine or Sodium?
Sylbobek's Pack works best with Iris (the shader loader), which is compatible with Sodium for better performance. Avoid running it alongside Optifine shaders, as they conflict; choose one shader system per installation.
My FPS dropped a lot after installing—what should I do?
Try lowering shadow quality and disabling water reflections in the shader options, or reduce your render distance. The mod is optimized for medium hardware, so lower-end systems may need to disable bloom effects or use a lower resolution.
Why don't torches and lanterns glow in my world?
Make sure bloom or light glow effects are enabled in the shader options menu. If they're already on, try increasing the bloom intensity slider, or check that your graphics driver is up to date.
How do I make water reflections look clearer or more realistic?
Open shader options and look for water reflection or water quality settings, then increase the reflection detail or clarity slider. You can also adjust how much of the sky and nearby blocks are reflected by tweaking the reflection intensity.
Can I turn off the waving plants animation?
Yes—open the shader options menu and find the vegetation or foliage animation setting, then disable it or lower the wave intensity to reduce the effect.
Does this shader work in the Nether and End?
Yes, the shader applies to all dimensions, though the procedural sky and some lighting effects are designed primarily for the Overworld. The Nether and End will still have improved shadows and color grading.
Why does the sky look different or washed out compared to screenshots?
Check your brightness and contrast settings in both the shader options and Minecraft's Video Settings, as these affect how the procedural sky appears. You may also need to adjust gamma or enable/disable bloom to match the intended look.
Will this shader pack work on servers or only single-player?
Shaders only affect your client-side rendering, so they work on multiplayer servers without any issues—other players won't see your shader effects, and the server won't be affected.
