How do I start using the rotation tool?
Hold the rotation tool in your main hand, then right-click on any supported block to rotate it. If you need to rotate in the opposite direction, hold Shift and right-click instead.
Why can't I rotate a block I just placed?
Make sure the block type is enabled in the configuration file under the `enabled` section—each block type has its own true/false switch. Also check that you're holding the rotation tool in your main hand, not your offhand.
What's the difference between right-click and Shift right-click?
Right-click rotates a block in one direction, while Shift right-click rotates it in the alternate direction. This lets you reach any orientation without spinning through all rotations.
Can I rotate redstone items like repeaters and comparators?
Yes, the mod supports redstone parts including repeaters, comparators, and rails. Rotating these items will change their direction while preserving their function.
How do I stop players from clicking blocks too fast?
Adjust the `spamfilter` setting in the configuration file, which sets the wait time in milliseconds between clicks. A higher value creates a longer cooldown between rotations.
Does rotating a chest change which direction it opens?
Yes, rotating a chest, shulker box, or similar container will change its facing direction and where the lid opens. This is useful for aligning storage with your build layout.
Can I rotate armor stands and decorative blocks?
Yes, the mod supports decorative items like armor stands, mob heads, bells, end rods, and chains. These rotate purely for aesthetic purposes.
What happens if I rotate a door or trapdoor?
Rotating doors and trapdoors changes which side they're hinged on and their facing direction, so they'll open and close in the new orientation. Make sure there's space for them to swing after rotating.
Will the mod slow down my server?
The mod is lightweight and only processes rotations when players click blocks. If you notice console spam, disable the `debug` setting to reduce log output.
Do I need to send players a resource pack for the mod to work?
No, the mod works without a resource pack. If you want to use a custom one, enable `auto_apply_resource_pack` in the configuration and it will be sent to players when they join.
