See All Moon Phases with Correct Lunar Cycles

Understand Moon Phase Timing

The resource pack automatically displays the correct moon phase based on Minecraft's internal lunar cycle. Each full cycle takes 8 in-game days:

• New Moon (invisible)
• Waxing Crescent
• First Quarter
• Waxing Gibbous
• Full Moon (brightest and most visible)
• Waning Gibbous
• Last Quarter
• Waning Crescent

View Each Phase

1. Play through multiple in-game days and nights to observe the progression

2. Check the moon during evening and night hours when it's most visible

3. The pack updates the moon's appearance automatically—no manual changes needed

4. Use a clock item or check your world time to track which day you're on

5. The waxing and waning crescent phases are subtle; look carefully at the moon's illuminated edge

The full moon phase provides the most dramatic visual, with the entire lunar surface brightly lit and clearly visible as a 3D sphere against the night sky.
