Make the 3D Sun and Moon Visible in Your World
Enable Sky Rendering
The 3D celestial bodies only appear when the sky is visible. Make sure you're not in a dimension or situation that hides the sky:
- Play in the Overworld during day or night cycles
- Avoid being underground or in enclosed spaces
- Check that your render distance is set high enough to see the horizon
- Ensure no other resource pack is overriding the sky texture below this pack in your load order
Position Yourself Correctly
The sun and moon are most visible when you look toward the horizon:
1. Stand in an open area with clear sightlines
2. Look upward and outward toward the sky, not straight up
3. During daytime, face toward the sun's direction (east in early morning, overhead at noon, west at sunset)
4. At night, look for the moon rising in the eastern sky
5. The 3D models are most detailed and impressive when viewed at an angle rather than directly overhead
If you're using a shader pack, the lighting effects will enhance the 3D appearance of both celestial bodies, making them appear more realistic and dimensional.
