Defend Against Proto Hivemind Raids

Understand the Threat

Proto Hiveminds are intelligent entities that actively track the closest player and coordinate waves of infected creatures to attack your position. Unlike random spawns, these raids are targeted and persistent.

Detection and Preparation

1. Listen for warning signs—infected creatures moving with purpose toward your base indicate a Hivemind has locked onto you.

2. Fortify your base with walls or barriers that slow approaching mobs. Axes are your primary tool for clearing infected blocks, so keep several on hand.

3. Stock defensive supplies: weapons, healing items, and building materials to repair damage quickly.

Combat Strategy

• Don't run too far—Hiveminds will follow you and potentially lead raids to new locations.
• Stand your ground near your base and eliminate waves systematically.
• Use terrain to funnel creatures into kill zones or chokepoints.
• Prioritize the Hivemind itself if it appears—eliminating it stops the coordinated assault.

Raids will continue as long as Hiveminds exist in the infected zone. Prepare for multiple encounters and maintain escape routes in case you need to retreat and regroup.
