Clear Infected Blocks Efficiently
Why Axes Matter
Infected biomass and other strange blocks spread rapidly across the landscape. Standard tools are slow at removing them, but axes are specifically designed to break these blocks much faster than any other tool.
Clearing Strategy
1. Equip an axe before approaching infected areas—this is non-negotiable for speed.
2. Work outward from your base in a defensive perimeter, removing biomass before it reaches your structures.
3. Prioritize blocks closest to your home first, as these pose the immediate threat.
4. Clear in layers rather than randomly—establish a buffer zone of clean blocks between your base and the infection.
Maintenance
- Check regularly for new growth, especially after nights or when you've been away from your base.
- Keep multiple axes in your inventory so you can continue clearing even if one breaks.
- Don't venture too deep into infected territory alone—infected creatures grow hungry and will hunt you.
Clearing is a temporary measure. The infection will return, so plan for ongoing maintenance rather than permanent removal.
