Troubleshooting Spells That Don't Feel Different

Verifying Data Pack Installation

If spells still feel as powerful as before, the data pack may not be active. Check these common issues:

Load Order: Ensure this data pack loads after the Spellblades and Such mod in your world or server configuration. Data packs override mod values only when properly prioritized.

World Compatibility: If you're using an existing world, the changes may not apply retroactively. Create a new world with both the mod and data pack installed to see the intended balance.

Confirming the Pack is Active

1. Open your world's data pack folder

2. Verify the Spellblades Spell Tweaks pack appears in your active packs list

3. Check that no conflicting data packs override these changes

4. Restart your game completely after adding the pack

Testing Specific Spells

Equip the Pillar of the Monkey King and test each spell against the same mob type multiple times. Damage should be noticeably lower on the first and third spells, with a modest increase on the second. If all spells feel unchanged, reinstall the data pack and verify file integrity.
