Move Illegal Items Out of Player Hotbars

Open the Restriction Menu

Type /it gui in chat and click the Restriction tab to view all server items.

Select the Item to Make Illegal

Find the item you want to prevent active use of. Click it to select it.

Apply the Illegal Status

Choose Illegal from the available rule levels. This status differs from Banned—the item isn't deleted, but players can't hold it in their hotbar or off-hand slots.

Understand the Effect

When you apply the Illegal rule:

• Connected players automatically have the item moved from their hotbar into their main inventory
• The item can still exist in storage containers
• Players cannot equip it or use it from quick-access slots
• The item remains craftable unless you also disable its recipe

Apply Dimension Rules (Optional)

If you only want this behavior in certain dimensions, use the Dimension Selection interface to limit where the Illegal rule takes effect. Save your changes—the mod enforces the rule immediately without restart.
