Sovereign Survival Tools Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I open the admin menu for the first time?
Open your chat window and type /it gui, then press Enter. This opens the central hub where you can access all restriction, recipe, and dimension settings.
What's the difference between Banned and Illegal items?
Banned items are deleted from player inventories and storage containers automatically. Illegal items stay in the main inventory but are removed from hotbars and off-hand slots to prevent active use.
Can I restrict items in only one dimension?
Yes. In the restriction tab, select the item you want to limit, then open the dimension selection interface and choose which specific worlds the rule applies to. The item will remain usable in other dimensions.
Do I need to restart the server when I ban or restrict an item?
No. The mod checks connected players and applies restrictions automatically without requiring a server restart.
How do I create a custom crafting recipe?
Open /it gui, go to the recipe editor tab, select the item you want to create a recipe for, place ingredients in the 3×3 grid, and save. This replaces the default crafting table recipe for that item.
Can I disable an item's crafting recipe without banning the item?
Yes. Set the item to Restricted status, which removes its default crafting table recipe while keeping the item usable if obtained another way.
What happens to items already in player chests when I ban them?
Banned items are automatically removed from all storage containers, not just player inventories, the next time the mod checks connected players.
Does this mod work with accessory and cosmetic armor mods?
Yes. The mod works with optional equipment slot mods to apply item rules to extra accessory and cosmetic armor slots beyond the standard inventory.
Can I control restrictions through chat commands instead of the menu?
Yes. The mod provides chat-based commands for admins who prefer text input over the graphical interface, though the exact command syntax depends on your setup.
Will restricting items cause lag or performance issues?
The mod is designed to check players and apply restrictions efficiently, but performance depends on how many items you restrict and how often the checks run—test with your specific configuration to be sure.
