How to Tame and Feed a Wolf with the Sophisticated Wolves Mod

Taming and Feeding Basics

Use a Dog Treat to tame a wild wolf. Once tamed, the wolf follows you and can be fed to restore its health. Feed a tamed wolf by holding a Dog Treat and using it on the wolf.

A Dog Bowl placed on the ground holds food for your wolves. Fill the Dog Bowl with Dog Treats so nearby tamed wolves can eat on their own. This keeps multiple wolves fed without you feeding each one by hand.

Managing Hunger

Place a Dog Bowl near where your wolves rest. When a wolf is hungry, it walks to the Dog Bowl and eats from it. Refill the bowl with Dog Treats when it runs empty. If a wolf is injured, feeding it a Dog Treat directly restores its health faster than waiting for it to eat from the bowl.

Keep a stack of Dog Treats in your inventory whenever you travel with wolves. If a wolf takes damage, feed it immediately. A Dog Bowl at your base handles routine feeding so you do not have to track every wolf's hunger yourself.
