How to Craft and Use Gem Lamps

Crafting a Lamp

Every gem type in Silent's Gems has a matching Lamp block. To make one, gather the gem material for the color you want — for example Alexandrite, Ammolite, Aquamarine, Black Diamond, Carnelian, Citrine, Garnet, Heliodor, Iolite, Kyanite, Moldavite, Opal, Pearl, Peridot, Rose Quartz, Ruby, Sapphire, Tanzanite, Topaz, Turquoise, or White Diamond. Combine the gem with the other ingredients in a crafting table to produce the Lamp block (Alexandrite Lamp, Ammolite Lamp, and so on). The recipe is a shaped crafting recipe, so arrange the ingredients in the exact pattern shown in your recipe viewer.

Inverted Lamps

Each gem also has an Inverted On variant — for example Alexandrite Lamp Inverted On or Citrine Lamp Inverted On. These are the same lamp block but lit in the opposite state, useful when you want a lamp that is on by default and turns off with a redstone signal. Place the Lamp, then place the Inverted On version nearby if you want a pair that toggles together.

Using Lamps

Lamps emit light like a torch or glowstone. Use them as decorative lighting that matches your gem-themed builds. Pair a Lamp with its Inverted On counterpart on the same redstone line to create a light that flips between on and off as the signal changes. Because every gem color has its own Lamp, you can color-code rooms, mark paths, or build signal indicators.
