Crafting Lamps and Inverted Lamps for Lighting

Standard Lamps

Every gem family has a Lamp block: Alexandrite Lamp, Ammolite Lamp, Aquamarine Lamp, Black Diamond Lamp, Carnelian Lamp, Citrine Lamp, Garnet Lamp, and so on through the full gem list. These are decorative light sources that match the color of their gem, letting you light a build without breaking its palette.

Craft a Lamp from its matching gem material. Because each gem has its own Lamp, you can pick the color that suits the room — a red Carnelian Lamp for a forge, a blue Aquamarine Lamp for an underwater base, a white Pearl or White Diamond Lamp for clean interiors.

Inverted Lamps

Each gem also has an Inverted On variant, such as Alexandrite Lamp Inverted On or Citrine Lamp Inverted On. These are the inverted-state versions of the same lamp. Use them when you want the lamp to behave opposite to the normal block — for example, in builds where you want the lit appearance to correspond to an unpowered state.

Pair Lamps with the matching Glass, Bricks, Small Bricks, and Tiles of the same gem to keep a room visually consistent. A single gem family can supply the light, the walls, and the floor trim, so choose one gem per room and build the whole palette from it.
