Crafting the Teleporters

Each gem type has two teleporter blocks: a standard Teleporter and a Redstone Teleporter. For example, Alexandrite Teleporter and Alexandrite Redstone Teleporter, or Garnet Teleporter and Garnet Redstone Teleporter. The same pattern exists for Ammolite, Aquamarine, Black Diamond, Carnelian, Citrine, and the rest of the gem family.

Use the standard Teleporter for always-on links between fixed destinations. Use the Redstone Teleporter when you want a link that only activates while powered, which is useful for controlled access or for shutting a route down without breaking the block.

Linking and Using Them

Place one teleporter at each endpoint. Both ends of a route should use the same gem type so the blocks match. Keep a written note of which gem corresponds to which destination — with twenty gem families available, it is easy to lose track.

If a route needs to be gated, run redstone into the Redstone Teleporter variant at both ends. When the signal drops, the link stops accepting travelers. This lets you build a private line to a vault or a farm that you can enable only when you are present.

Build a small hub room with one teleporter per destination. Label each with a sign so you can step through the correct block without trial and error.
