Adjust Shader Settings for Better Performance

Access the Shader Menu

Press the designated shader settings key (usually accessed through your mod menu or by pressing a hotkey while in-game) to open the SEL Shaders configuration panel. This menu lets you fine-tune visual quality to match your PC's capabilities.

Key Settings to Adjust

Shadow Quality: Lower shadow resolution if you're experiencing frame drops. SEL Shaders is optimized for low-end systems, but reducing shadow detail further can help older laptops maintain smooth gameplay.

Water Effects: Toggle water reflections and transparency settings. Disabling advanced water reflections will noticeably improve performance on integrated graphics.

Leaf and Grass Waving: The subtle animation effect can be disabled entirely if needed, though it's lightweight enough to keep enabled on most systems.

Skybox Detail: Custom skybox rendering can be simplified for maximum performance.

Save Your Configuration

Once you've found settings that work for your system, the changes save automatically. Test your frame rate in different environments—caves, forests, and open sky—to ensure consistent performance across varied lighting conditions.
