Crafting Heart Crystals from Heart Dust

Heart Dust is the base material for permanent health upgrades. Combine it into a Heart Crystal using a shaped crafting recipe on a crafting table. Place the Heart Dust in the pattern the recipe shows; the result is one Heart Crystal.

If you only have loose Heart Dust and need to convert or consolidate it, check the shapeless recipe available in your recipe book — it lets you rearrange Heart Dust without a fixed grid layout.

Using the Crystal

Hold the Heart Crystal and use it. Consuming it permanently raises your maximum health by one heart. Repeat as you gather more Heart Dust and craft more crystals. There is no temporary buff involved — the gain stays with you.

Heart Dust is a registry item in this mod, so it drops or is obtained through the mod's own sources rather than vanilla mobs. Once you have a stack, batch-craft Heart Crystals before a long trip so you are not carrying raw Dust into danger.
