How to Craft Bandages, Medkits, and Use Power Crystals

Healing Items

Bandages and Medkit are your recovery items. Both are produced through crafting recipes. Bandages are the smaller heal; Medkit is the larger one. Keep both in your inventory before fights so you can recover without retreating.

Power Crystal Chain

Mine Power Crystal Ore or Deepslate Power Crystal Ore to get Power Crystal Shard drops. Combine shards into a Power Crystal. Power Crystals are the material used in the crafting recipes for the heart items, including Chance Heart, Cursed Heart, and Enchanted Heart. The exact grid for each is a crafting recipe — check your recipe book for the entry that lists Power Crystal alongside the heart item you want.

Step Order

1. Mine Power Crystal Ore or Deepslate Power Crystal Ore.

2. Collect Power Crystal Shard drops.

3. Craft a Power Crystal from the shards.

4. Use the Power Crystal in the recipe for Chance Heart, Cursed Heart, or Enchanted Heart.

5. Craft Bandages for small heals and Medkit for large heals.

6. Carry Bandages, Medkit, and your chosen heart item together.

Deeper stone yields Deepslate Power Crystal Ore, so bring a pickaxe that can mine deepslate-tier blocks before descending.
