Configuring Scaling Health: Difficulty, Commands, and Disabling Scaling
Finding the Config
Scaling Health stores its settings in a config file. Locate the config for the mod in your instance's config directory and open it with a text editor. The options there control how difficulty scales and how the mod's features behave. Back up the file before editing so you can restore defaults if a change causes problems.
Adjusting Difficulty
Difficulty scaling is the central setting. Raise or lower the scaling values to make the world ramp up faster or slower as you gain power. If you want a flat experience with no ramp, set the scaling to its minimum or disable the scaling behavior through the relevant option. Save the file and restart the game so the change takes effect.
Disabling Scaling Entirely
To play without scaling difficulty, turn off the scaling option in the config. This keeps the mod's items — Bandages, Medkit, Heart Crystal, Power Crystal, and the ores — available while removing the rising threat. You can still mine Heart Crystal Ore and Deepslate Heart Crystal Ore and craft Heart Crystal Shard into Heart Crystal for a larger health pool.
Commands
Scaling Health provides commands for checking and changing difficulty in-game. Use them to inspect current scaling values or adjust them without editing the file. Run the mod's command to view its subcommands, then apply the difficulty change you want. Commands are the fastest way to test a setting before committing it to the config.
Safe Workflow
1. Back up the config.
2. Edit difficulty scaling values.
3. Restart and test.
4. Use commands for quick adjustments.
5. Disable scaling if you want items without the ramp.
