Round Cacti Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
Do I need Round Trees mod installed to use Round Cacti?
No, Round Cacti Resource Pack works as a standalone addition to your game. However, it pairs visually with Round Trees mod if you want your entire desert and forest to share the same rounded aesthetic.
Will rounded cacti still hurt me if I walk into them?
Yes, rounded cacti function identically to vanilla cacti—they deal damage on contact and destroy items. The visual change is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect gameplay mechanics.
Can I use this with high-resolution texture packs?
Yes, Round Cacti works well with high-resolution texture packs and will look even better with them since the rounded edges benefit from extra detail and clarity.
Do the rounded cacti models affect performance?
The resource pack uses 3D models instead of flat textures, which has minimal performance impact on most systems, but older or low-end devices may notice a slight difference in render time.
Will this work with other desert plant mods?
Round Cacti is designed to pair well with other plant mods, though compatibility depends on whether those mods also modify cactus blocks. Test them together in a world to confirm they don't conflict.
Can I use Round Cacti in a multiplayer server?
Yes, resource packs are client-side, so you can use Round Cacti on any server without needing server-side installation or permission.
Do I need to enable any special settings for the rounded models to appear?
No, once the resource pack is activated in your world settings, rounded cacti should appear automatically without additional configuration.
Will my existing cacti in saved worlds turn rounded?
Yes, any cactus blocks already placed in your world will display as rounded models once you activate the resource pack.
Can I combine Round Cacti with mods that add new cactus types?
Compatibility with new cactus variants depends on whether those mods use standard cactus blocks or custom ones; check the mod descriptions or test them together to be sure.
Does this pack change cactus colors or just the shape?
Round Cacti Resource Pack focuses on changing the shape to rounded 3D models; colors remain the same as vanilla unless you're also using a separate texture or color-changing pack.
