Researching Dimlets with the Researcher and Knowledge Holder

The research loop

The Researcher is where you turn knowledge into usable dimlet knowledge. Feed it Lost Knowledge — Common Lost Knowledge, Uncommon Lost Knowledge, Rare Lost Knowledge and Legendary Lost Knowledge — and it processes that into the knowledge you need to work with dimlets. Rarity of the knowledge matches the rarity of the dimlets it unlocks.

Storing what you learn

Knowledge Holder is the block that stores researched knowledge. Keep your knowledge in the holder so the Researcher and your dimlet work can draw on it. Without stored knowledge you cannot progress from common dimlets toward rare and legendary ones.

Essence and modules

Dimensional Essence comes in the same four tiers: Common Dimensional Essence, Uncommon Dimensional Essence, Rare Dimensional Essence and Legendary Dimensional Essence. These feed the higher-tier crafting and the Energy Module line — Common Energy Module, Uncommon Energy Module, Rare Energy Module and Legendary Energy Module. Memory Module follows the same tiers: Common Memory Module, Uncommon Memory Module, Rare Memory Module and Legendary Memory Module. Match the tier of your knowledge, essence and modules to the tier of dimlet you are trying to produce, and research the lower tiers first so the higher ones become available.
