Monitoring and Maintaining a Dimension with Probes and Monitors

Watch the dimension's state

Once a dimension is running, use the Activity Probe and Dimension Monitor to see what it is doing. The Activity Probe reports activity, and the Dimension Monitor displays the status of a dimension so you can tell whether it is being maintained or has stalled.

Keep the builder supplied

A dimension stays alive only while its Dimension Builder keeps working. If the builder loses power or the tab is removed, the dimension stops being maintained. Check the Dimension Monitor first when a dimension becomes unreachable. Feed the builder with the appropriate Energy Module — Common, Uncommon, Rare or Legendary — and confirm the Realized Dimension Tab is still seated.

Admin and phased tools

Admin Dimlet exists for administrative control over dimension properties. Phased Field Generator is the block used when you need phased behavior in a dimension. Use these when a normal dimlet cannot express what you need, and keep the Dimension Editor available for adjusting a realized tab without rebuilding it from an Empty Dimension Tab.
