Resonant Redstone Records Mod FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I make my first music disc?
Craft a Blank Disc and a Music Disc Maker using lapis lazuli and iron, place the Music Disc Maker block, right-click it, paste your audio link into the text box, insert the Blank Disc, and wait for it to finish burning.
What websites can I get music links from?
You can use links from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or any direct audio stream URL that the mod's Music Disc Maker can process.
Can I play music discs in a regular vanilla jukebox?
Yes, custom music discs work in both regular jukeboxes and the mod's Golden Jukebox, though the Golden Jukebox gives you volume and radius controls.
How do I set up speakers in different rooms?
Place a Golden Jukebox in one room, then mount Speakers on walls, floors, ceilings, or fences in other rooms and link them to the jukebox—they'll broadcast the same audio across all connected speakers.
Can I change the colors of my music discs?
Yes, use the Disc Dyeing Table to customize both the surface and accent ring colors of each disc independently.
What's the difference between an Album and a Boombox?
An Album is a storage block that holds up to nine discs and lets you shuffle between them, while a Boombox is a portable item you can carry or place down to play individual discs or entire albums on the go.
How do I stream live radio?
Paste a YouTube Live or Icecast stream URL into the Music Disc Maker just like a regular track—the mod will automatically reconnect if the stream drops.
Will all players hear the same music at the same time on a server?
Yes, server audio stays synchronized across all connected players listening to the same song, so everyone hears it in sync.
Can I mute speakers without stopping the jukebox?
Yes, you can send a redstone signal to linked speakers to quickly mute them while the jukebox continues playing.
What should I do if a music disc won't burn?
Check that your audio link is valid and from a supported platform (YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, or direct streams), that you have a Blank Disc in the Music Disc Maker, and that the link isn't region-blocked or private.
