Enhance Colored Lighting Effects in Your Build
Understand Colored Light Sources
ReasonableView's colored lighting system responds to specific light-emitting blocks. Torches, lanterns, glowstone, and other vanilla light sources emit tinted light that affects nearby surfaces. This creates warm or cool atmospheres depending on your light choice.
Position Lights Strategically
Place light sources where you want colored tints to spread. Warm sources (torches, lanterns) cast orange-yellow light; cooler sources (soul lanterns, certain modded lights) cast blue or purple tones. The shader blends these colors across nearby blocks realistically.
Adjust Colored Lighting Intensity
Open shader settings and find Colored Light Strength or Light Color Intensity. Increase this to make colored lighting more prominent and saturated, or decrease it for subtler tinting.
Layer Multiple Light Colors
Combine different light sources in the same area—warm torches near cool soul lanterns create interesting color gradients. The shader's PBR system makes these interactions look natural and polished, enhancing both functional and decorative lighting designs.
